JOBS Copy Services Manager -- University of Texas at Austin Monthly
salary $3666 - $4000
negotiable depending on qualifications Primary responsibilities: Provides managerial and technical support to university copy services. Responsible for managing all duplicating operations at various copy centers on campus. Essential functions: Manages the overall production of work and provides technical support by maximizing the potential of all resources, improving service and turnaround time, resolving personnel and production issues, working with vendors, managing inventory and preparing reports. Oversees approximately $2.2 million budget with definitive growth objectives while providing financial stability. Compiles and reports financial and production data for implementation of new and/or existing services. Analyzes work processes and makes efficiency improvements. Determines job production resources and schedules daily work priorities. Evaluates equipment needs and production materials. Ensures inventory control is managed, including student course packages. As the digital technology expert, assesses the best usage of digital output devices.Stays informed with current market and evolving technology in the industry. Makes recommendations for acquisition of new digital technologies. Implements marketing efforts that drive more business for the department. Maintains a customer service focus on providing the most efficient and cost effective product. Supervises staff to include, but not limited to, providing daily management, training, interviewing, hiring and evaluating work and performance.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Five years or
more years of experience in managing a copy center services department
including three years in a supervisory capacity. Must have retail
experience. Knowledge of file transfer methods. Knowledge of graphic
communication software including QuarkXpress, Adobe Creative Suite,
Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Publisher. Knowledge of US
Copyright laws. Fundamental technical understanding of digital Storefront
equipment. Use of analog and digital reproduction printers and peripheral equipment, personal computer and other standard office equipment.
Ability to problem solve. Equivalent combination of relevant education and
